In order to create change in the plus size movement in the Middle East, we need to stir things up.
It is in the these kind of scenarios that our collective The Middle East Plus Size Fashion Bloggers really comes in handy!

Just a quick update! I am beyond thrilled to say that - up until today - we are all together 22 plus size bloggers on the team and 11 of us are in the UAE. 22 going on 25 plus size bloggers very soon!
I am currently based in Dubai so why not take advantage of what we have. Projects are easier to implement when we are physically all present. Being proactive towards this movement is important and I do think that unity is power. Doing things as a team has a bigger impact. It is not always wise to follow the current but rather create your own content, our own path so that's the plan for us to stand out.

One of the brands that were more than welcoming to our collective was SPLASH.
Their PR and marketing team decided to host an in-store event, especially for us, in Splash+, Centrepoint (Mall of the Emirates), so as to promote their new plus size campaign #therightsize !
I was truly impressed by the new standard they have set for SPLASH as a brand. The plus size campaign was visually appealing, the models on the posters were young, fresh and almost reminiscent of ASOS latest campaign. Basically, good vibes!
