Leaving my Twenties | The Big 3-0!

9:50:00 PM

I am a week away from saying bye-bye to my twenties.

"Maybe it has something to do with turning 30. I don't feel as shy or nervous or self-conscious. I have more confidence that I can handle what life brings me. I don't feel scared to have an idea and express it."
(Michelle Williams)

They say that the thirties are the best times of a woman's life. While in her twenties, she learns who she is and defines her role, personality and ambitions. In her thirties, she excels in reaching her goals, and asserts her womanhood and confidence. She feels more secure, resilient and poised. I think I am on the right track - hopefully.

Being a mom has given me so much strength and it feels like I can face anything with that power in hand. Even though it is recent, starting up my blog has also given me the self-esteem I might've lacked throughout adolescence and early adulthood. I stopped being apologetic about my figure and started accepting the way I am. Life is too short to be tormented by society's judgements. My mom, my dad, my sister, my husband and my beautiful son - my family - they all rely on me, from the simplest things to the toughest issues. I too rely on them but it takes courage to be a confident strong woman and only SHE can reflect stability, love and happiness to her surrounding.

Although I was a bit nervous at first about turning 30, I now feel that it is one of those transitions in life where you just need to ride the wave, embrace it and enjoy it!
